Mr. Adhiraj Chowdhury
Ph.D Scholar
Adhiraj is a student of Economics, Psychology and Neuroscience. He has a Bachelor’s degree in Economics, a Master’s degree in Economics and also in Psychology. He is currently pursuing his Ph.D in the area of Social Neuroscience, which is an interesting combination of Behavioural Economics and Neuroscience. His core interest lies in using economic games to understand not just human behaviour, but also the neural mechanisms underlying those behaviours.
Mr. Varghese Mathew
Ph.D Scholar; Clinical Psychologist
Varghese is currently a Ph.D Scholar working to understand the correlates of Self-other distinction using EEG and Eye-tracking techniques. He received the UGC Research Fellowship and has worked as a Senior Research Fellow for a DST project at the SHUT Clinic in National Institute of Mental Health & Neurosciences (NIMHANS). He is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, graduated from Manipal Academy of Higher Education with an M.Phil in Clinical Psychology.
Ms. Priyanjali Paul
Ph.D Scholar; Clinical Psychologist
Priyanjali is a RCI registered Clinical Psychologist and she is currently pursuing her PhD in Psychology with a specialization in Neuropsychology. Her research interests involves exploring the underlying neural correlates of psychopathic traits and developing a treatment protocol using EEG Neurofeedback training.
Mr Swastik Sahoo
Ph.D Scholar
Mr. Swastik N Sahoo is currently pursuing his PhD in Psychology at CHRIST. He has n M.Phil. in Clinical Psychology from Amity University, Lucknow and is a licensed clinical psychologist certified by the RCI. He also has a M.Sc. degree in Forensic Psychology from the National Forensic Sciences University, Gandhinagar, Gujarat. In 2022, he successfully qualified the Forensic Aptitude and Caliber test in Forensic Psychology conducted by the Ministry of Home Affairs. His current research focuses on examining the recall patterns of eyewitnesses, utilising eye tracking and statement analysis.
Dr. Madhavi Rangaswamy

Dr. Madhavi Rangaswamy is a Professor at the Department of Psychology, CHRIST (Deemed to be University). She got PhD from NIMHANS, Bangalore. She completed her postdoctoral training at Henri Begleiter Neurodynamics Laboratory and she served as an Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at SUNY Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, New York, USA. She contributed to research in electrophysiology and genetic correlates of alcoholism (COGA project) and has over 40 publications. Her research interests lie in the area of cognitive and behavioural neuroscience, and human environment interactions.
Ms. Shuchita Gupta
Lab Manager
Shuchita Gupta recently joined the Neuro Cognition Lab (NCL) as the lab instructor. In the past few years, she has worked on various research projects, including ones about attitude and cognition, child- parent interactions, and even contributed to a neuropsychology book during her time as research assistant. She holds dual master's degrees - a master's in Cognitive Neuropsychology from the University of Kent, UK and an integrated master's in Clinical Psychology from Dev Sanskriti Vishwavidyalaya, India. Her research interests lie in exploring the neural underpinnings of affective cognition and social cognition.
